After moving to Cape Town during Covid, I struggled to meet people as a single adult in a new city — most of my friends were married or settled, and going out meant going alone or not at all.
I'd felt the opposite on cruise ships, where the crew had one bar between all of us — you were always guaranteed to find someone to talk to. I wanted to bring that same certainty of connection back to Cape Town, without the swiping or the profiles.
